The Findings & Solution:

After running through an inspection and following our 5 Steps Formulation, the AHU’s evaporator coil was showing signs of fatigue. There are also internal leakages which could not be seen from outside were also identified.

Solution proposed was to install a new coil which was customized fabrication according to the ship requirements.

Most importantly, the installation process was completed within 24 hours.

The scenario..

The AHU’s evaporator coil was showing signs of fatigue. After investigation, internal leakages which could not be seen from outside were also identified. We proposed to install a new coil which was customized fabrication according to the ship requirements.

The dismantling of the old unit required preparation work because of the considerable size and weight of the unit. A wall had to be removed to allow the removal of the old unit and the displacement of the new one. A new coil was installed. Brazing works had to be done. Testing deemed the unit functional.

Custom fabrication of Evaporator coil completed within 7 days. Installation process was completed within 24 hours directly at Youlian Shipyard, China.
